The dragonfly has long captured the imagination of artists. It's hard not love a bug that chomps up hundreds mosquitoes for lunch. Dragonfly fossils have been found that are over 250 million years old. Sadly, it is estimated that between 100 and 140 species of dragonflies are threatened with extinction due to loss of habitat.
