silver webs necklace stephanite and sterling silver necklace
by Felicia Parsons |
| Stephanite is a relatively
rare silver ore that occurs in a handful of locations in the US, and is
often found along with quartz-type minerals. In case you're curious (and who
isn't?) it's named after the Archduke of Austria Stephan Franz Victor of
Habsburg-Lorena (1817-1867). I guess they thought
Franzvictorofhabsburglorena-ite wasn't catchy enough. The stones I use are absolutely unique, one of kind, hand-cut and polished, US collected gems. The sterling is recycled. The chain is hand-formed one link at a time and closes with a toggle. This one has some tiger eye beads included to jazz it up. Chain is approximately 16 inches long, pendant about 3.25 inches by 1.25 inches.
$195 100% recycled sterling individually hand made this stone was hand cut by Jason Penn and mined in Wyoming
