stoneheart sea pottery pendant stoneware shard necklace

Everyone has heard of sea glass, but on many a beach pottery shards also wash up with the tide. These broken bits of stoneware vessels are from a beach in Scotland. Their original glaze has been sanded by the sea, and their edges tumbled by the tide. The bottom fragment has fashioned itself into a heart (and there's a surprise on the back --- I've sawn out a heart-shaped hole!)
Each pottery shard is hand-set in recycled sterling. The pendant measures about 4" x 2". The chain is wire-worked sterling with two sizes of agate. It measures 18" and closes with a toggle.
