This I Believe:

my philosophy

Vegan - Recycled - No Sweatshops - No Unregulated Mines

As we become more aware of the impact our purchase decisions make on our environment, our world, and the people we share it with, more of us are moved by the desire to ensure that our spending reflects our values.

What you get (and what you don't) from Green Fuse:

§  nobody had to die for the sake of pretty: no leather, pearl, bone, horn, antler, coral, silk, ivory, tusk, mother of pearl, or tooth in any of my creations

j§ my sterling silver is recycled and formed by hand by me

§ as of winter 2008, any purchased components are made in the USA (for the sake of clarity, I have a large back stock of purchased certified fair trade beads which are NOT made in the US ~ I will use them up and when they're gone they're gone)

j§ all new gemstones I purchase are either lab grown, reclaimed, vintage/recycled, or mined in the US ~ no factory or sweatshop stones

§ my metalwork is 100% salvaged autobody steel (and is currently only available at some art fairs, not online. sorry)

I care about every piece I create. More than just a hand-crafted alternative to Mass-Mart sweat-shop piles of stuff, I want my work to celebrate both humanity and nature without compromising either. I know you do too.

Cool Jewels

For the lowdown on an item-by-item outline of the materials I use to make my jewelry, click this.

I don't buy new package padding materials. I re-circulate whenever possible and buy recycled whenever not. Help me keep your packing peanuts mobile! Don't throw them away, send them along somewhere else in your own packages. Let's see how many trips around the world those peanuts can make!

Cruel Jewels

Diamonds and coral and pearls, oh my...

They're the mainstays of most jewelry designs, but you won't find them here. Read more...
