keweenaw ring

apache jasper and sterling silver ring

 by Felicia Parsons

Copper is one of the few minerals to occur naturally in an uncombined form --- meaning not part of an ore. The Keweenaw copper deposits in Upper Michigan were major copper producers in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and are the largest deposits of native copper in the world. You can see the vein of copper glinting in the river of white quartz that surrounds it in this stone.

US size 4

$125

The stone comes from Michigan and was hand cut by Gary Wilson.
