mishigami ring

leeland blue slag and sterling silver ring

 by Felicia Parsons

This is my favorite new stone, a fantastic find from the Tucson gem show called Leland blue antique slag. It was collected from the shores of lake Michigan by lapidary artist Gary Wilson. For more on Leland blue see here

I love how this stone is pitted like the surface of the moon. This stone is left unpolished, in its raw state, giving it a very elemental feel.

The stone in this ring is set vertically into hand formed recycled sterling and is just under an inch and a half long.

US size 5

$115

The stone comes from the shores of Lake Michigan and was hand cut by Gary Wilson.
